Tips for Making a Delicious Burger

by Mark Erb November 07, 2017

Who doesn’t love the taste of a great burger at the end of a long day? When made right, a burger can really change your entire mood and leave you feeling satisfied. However, of course, the key to all of this is knowing how to cook your burger the right way. Here are a few tips that will help you do it.

Don’t use too many different seasonings.

A famous cook like Bobby Flay recommends that you only use salt and pepper to season a burger. If you work too many other seasonings into the mix, you will end up with a meatloaf as opposed to a burger, which is not want you want. So stick with salt and pepper and let those be your seasonings.

Utilize a cast iron pot with canola oil and high heat.

Cooking burgers out on the grill is great, but if you want something that tastes truly amazing, you should stay inside and cook your burgers in cast iron with high heat. Cast iron will cook your burgers evenly and produce a great crust on them. You will also only need to flip your burgers over once when you go with cast iron, which is another important aspect of it.

Choose the right cheese.

When preparing a burger, most people opt for whatever cheese they have in the refrigerator at the time. why not put a little bit more thought into it than that? If you like a regular American cheese, great. However, if you want to experiment with your cheeses and even mix more than one cheese together, go for it. By taking chances, you might stumble across something that tastes unique.

Outside of following these tips, you should also make sure you’re using the best beef possible to cook your burger.
