Pasture Raised Pork Roast options:

  • Pork Tenderloin and Pork Loin: The loin and tenderloin are from the same region of the pig (the back) but different areas. Both cuts are relatively lean with very little marbling.

    • Pork Tenderloin: is a delicate muscle that runs along the spine. It isn't used for movement, so it's one of the most tender cuts of pork. In beef, this muscle is often referred to as filet mignon.

    • Pork Loin: The most obvious difference is that pork loin is a larger cut than pork tenderloin. It is thick and wide with a large fat cap that covers the top. Pork loins are large enough that they can be cut into boneless pork chops(pork loin chops).

    Pork tenderloins are long and thin without much fat. They do well when cooked quickly at a high temperature while pork loin does well cooked low and slow.

     
    • Shoulder Picnic Roast and Shoulder Butt Roast. Stick in the slow cooker in the morning and come home to a tender sweet supper! These pork roasts work very well to make delicious pulled pork for the whole family to enjoy! 

    Our pigs are corn, soy and gmo free, and pasture raised!  They enjoy the freedom to roam the great outdoors and simply do what pigs do best! Along with what they forage for outside they are fed a diet of oats, peas and barley! The secret to such great tasting pork!
